Weed Boom
The Weed Boom can be deployed as a permanent barrier to prevent the spread of algae and duckweed or used as an active method for its removal. They are easily set out in a semi-circle and gradually drawn to the bank side to allow the removal of unwanted algae and duck weed. The units can also be used from a boat to surround distant algae and weed rafts to allow removal
 
The boom comes as a 15m unit comprising of 16 floating sections that interlock, this enables it to flex and surround algae/duck weed for easier removal. The booms can be bolted together to form large units for extensive waters. For large scale removal of algae and duck weed we would advise using a small machine with weed rake.
 
The standard boom sections are approximately 1m in length allowing them to be transported & stored easily.
