

The Memorial Trout Lakes
(Fly only trout fishing)
Following extensive renovations to multiple historic lakes on the estate, the Memorial Fishing Lakes at Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire, are open to the public for trout fishing.
Originally conceived over 200 years ago by the country's greatest landscape architect, Capability Brown, his plans have been finally realised in line with the tercentenary of his birth.
The fishery is made up of two one acre lakes.
Membership is £350 per year.
Day Tickets are £25 and have a limit of 2 fish
Fish Stocks
This truly is a most stunning location to angle with Belvoir Castle as a back drop. The lakes have been stocked with Brown, Rainbow and Tiger Trout between 1.5 and 14lb.

Catch and return is allowed if barbless hooks are used.
You must book in prior to fishing.

2 nice rainbows on a olive damsel in the first hour
but wind cold and changing direction a lot made it difficult after that

Plenty of fish - bottom lake was where I caught and had a lot of tugs. Weather still very cool but, as always, a good day out.

Couldn’t get a touch on nymphs, spent the majority of the day pulling a blob on a DI5, loads of follows and tugs, most fish came on the hang, lost as many as I landed!
