

The Memorial Trout Lakes
Following extensive renovations to multiple historic lakes on the estate, the Memorial Fishing Lakes at Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire, are open to the public for trout fishing.
Originally conceived over 200 years ago by the country's greatest landscape architect, Capability Brown, his plans have been finally realised in line with the tercentenary of his birth.
The fishery is made up of two one acre lakes.
Membership is £350 per year.
Day Tickets are £25 and have a limit of 2 fish
Fish Stocks
This truly is a most stunning location to angle with Belvoir Castle as a back drop. The lakes have been stocked with Brown, Rainbow and Tiger Trout between 1.5 and 14lb.
Site Specific Rules
Catch and return is allowed if barbless hooks are used.
You must book in prior to fishing.

Pleasant morning fishing, coloured water but fished OK. Caught on small brown nymph (size 14) fished about 2-3ft depth. Good fish all in good condition

Lakes both cloudy but plenty of fish rising in the large lower lake. Booby on intermediate line retrieved just below the surface bagged the only catch of the day on the lower lake. Nice fish, 2.5-3lbs in weight.

Lovely surroundings very peaceful and full of wildlife to enjoy. Two of us fishing using blue flash damsel and cats whisker to catch. Fish in VG condition.

Despite the cloudy water, managed to catch one on a blue flash Damsel and lost another. Fish jumping and the odd rise. Water is starting to clear.
Lovely day's fishing.
